Lyudmila (Mila) Nepomnyashchiy

Mila is a Director with CHAP and leads the international portfolio. Mila is a health systems specialist with 15 years of experience across private and public health sectors.


Prior to her role with CHAP, Mila spent seven years with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) focusing on expanding access to essential maternal, newborn, and child health commodities across West, Central, and East Africa. Mila previously worked at McKinsey and Company and IQVIA (formerly IMS Consulting Group), serving pharmaceutical companies on market access strategies and health system improvements across Europe, North America, and South Asia.

Mila has lived and worked in Rwanda, India, Nigeria, Togo, the United Kingdom and has worked with several non-profit organizations to advocate for the rights of people affected by HIV/AIDS; notably as co-founder of the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA).

She holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics (International Health Policy) from the London School of Economics and received her B.A. in Economics and Human Rights from Barnard College and the University of Oxford. She is originally from Ukraine and currently resides in New York with her husband and two children.
