Maternal Mental Health Network: Building a Stronger Collaborative

Funders for Maternal Mental Health
December 2022-December 2023

Launched, in part, with seed funding from CHAP, Funders for Maternal Mental Health is an action-focused network of philanthropic organizations with a unified goal of ensuring all mothers and pregnant and parenting people are supported and healthy.

In 2023, the new Funders for Maternal Mental Health (FMMH) continued its focus on building a strong collaborative of investors committed to advancing maternal mental health policy, programs, and systems. In the interest of furthering existing members’ investment alignment and growing the number of investors within the maternal mental health space at large, the group aimed to create opportunities for funders to connect and assist with identifying investment priorities and challenges.

Learnings that emerged throughout the process—particularly regarding investment impact and the ways in which collaboration amongst funders is accelerating progress in the field—will be shared with the philanthropic community through virtual and in-person events and digital or print publications.
